Get to Know the Team Behind Honey & Claret

Our very small team works to deliver delightfully elegant and gothic content.

Bel is in love with all things macabre. They decided to start Honey & Claret as a little gathering basket of knowledge, tips, and information for their favorite niches within the dark and alternative aesthetic community.

They enjoy writing about brands they personally love that serve the gothic niche, helpful how-tos, reviews, and comparison guides. While they like to indulge in more personal writing now and then, they aim to bring value to readers with useful information that is neatly organized and easy to find.

Aster is a connoisseur of dark and moody art, series, books and music. They enjoy watching, reading or listening to things that make them feel emotionally eviscerated, and hope to capture a feeling of beautiful decay in their art.

When creating art and designs for Honey & Claret, they try to make pieces that would be at home on display in any dark aesthetic-themed room. They particularly love gothic architecture, elegant gothic lolita and ouji fashion, and vampiric fiction. Key points of their inspiration include religious horror, romantic horror, Victorian gothic stylings, and witchcore and vampirecore aesthetics.

We are proudly LGBTQ+ and Asian-owned. We value inclusivity and equality for all, and aim for our content and products to reflect this.
